Blog dangerous for health...

This is the main headline of Metro article today and I cannot understand this is raising such interest. It sounds a bit harsh maybe considering that a few deaths are put on the account of this hobby that is blogging. But you may say the same for any other part of life: playing football, swimming, driving, working. This sounds like people get stressed by their blogging. Well, yes of course. But then anybody can be stressed about anything, any hobby.
One fellow trainer has been cutting down her kung fu training since January'08 as she has been working pretty hard to get a new grading last november and this tough training took on her strengths so that she eventually got her second grade but now she wanted to take it a bit slower for a while. Still training but not that hard.

It is difficult to see and evaluate when it is too much and oneself has reach the limits. Well it is often too late. However after having done it once (and hopefully recovered from it) it is of importance to pay attention to the signs that were ignored the first time.

Getting a balance in life is or paramount importance for everybody. A hobby should not take over one's life, same for a job, a relationship, a sport... name it. Training has a great balancing effect on myself when practice regularly and most of the time with goals to attain and a quite high standard. This means that going to the gym even with a schema of the machines to train is not enough. I need someone to coach my progresses, to correct my errors and show me the steps towards the next level. This does not require competition, but a certain level so I feel that I am present to this sport session and not having my thoughts rolling around what happened during the day. It is helping to de-stress, to recover and gain more energy. I feel calmer afterwards and reloaded. Try it!
I have as well tried with painting, not that tough physically, but taking on my stress from outside and getting rid of it through my painting. incredible as I am the last person who thought I would enjoy painting!

So now about blogging. Well yes it may become dangerous for health. it this is not the fault of the blog in question, but of the human behind who cannot say stop, who cannot slow down and shut down the computer (yes I said it!). So blaming the blog is a bit tough.

A solution may be to add on all blogs over the world the same sentences that were added a few years ago on cigarettes pack, like "Smoking/blogging can kill" aso... Have we reach really the point of no return where law suits will be started against blogging sites for not having helped people behind?...

to be continued!

Center blog!

Difficult to find which name should be set to my blog. So I decided to have several blogs, with different themes. This one will be the main receptacle, with maybe less posts, but always updated links to my other blogs.

So feel free to surf and comment!
